KLM
-The Old Queen from Amsterdam to Seoul-
Ninety-nine years ago, the oldest existing airline was born. From 2004, Netherlands’ pride company enjoys marriage with Air France, thus offering more than 300 destinations to its customers from Paris-CDG and Amsterdam-Schiphol. Together, sisters evolve in the second largest alliance: Skyteam. Today KLM operates 119 aircraft, from the 737 to the A330 and the 777 but also, the queen of the skies: the Boeing 747-400. Today we invite you to join us onboard the business class of flight KL855 from Amsterdam to Seoul-Incheon, operated by the Queen.
AMSTERDAM SCHIPHOL AIRPORT
Today’s trip aboard KL855 departs from F gates. Indeed, Schiphol offers a very large diversity of entertainments. Aviation lovers that we are, can also enjoy great sightseeing on aircraft, and here blue makes the law.
But first things first, let's get to the lounge...
The KLM Crown lounge is quite well organized and offers a large selection of dishes and drinks. You can find Netherland's classics for sure, and also international food. For beverages, coffee, tea and a great alcohol selection is available. Moreover, the KLM crown lounge offers a large area, which permits travellers to get some rest before their long night flights. Additionally, just in front of the lounge, an access to the Mercure Hotel and showers is available, indeed there are no showers in the lounge so, these ones are an alternative solution.
CABIN REVIEW
Tonight we are flying on the upper deck, which is 2-2 configured. This accommodation offers a large travel space, with many facilities for passengers.
The Dutch business class offers a fully flat bed. Regarding the seat configuration, the latter is pretty similar to other airlines.
Once in the air, it’s time to discover the travel space, first, the most evident thing is the large IFE, however, it is getting older as the whole cabin. The latter offers many entertainments such as Hollywood or international movies but also songs and games. To enjoy it, a noise reduction headset is provided.
